Basic Stage Combat Workshop

Friend of FOAF Rob Leonard, with whom we worked on the Off-West End nominated production of Ondine, is the workshop co-ordinator for The British Academy of Stage & Screen Combat, a non-profit-making organisation currently celebrating their 20th anniversary.

Between 29th July – 10th August, BASSC will be hosting a series of stage combat workshops at Islington Arts & Media School. With classes at Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced Level, you can pick up and develop new abilities, then opt in to receive industry-recognised accreditation certificate. The courses are pricey but they offer actors (and non-actors!) a unique opportunity to add to their skill set and explore stage combat and stunts. The BASSC’s qualified staff are experienced stage combat professionals who teach at the UK’s leading drama schools (RADA, Royal Central School of Speech & Drama, East 15, Birmingham School of Acting, Drama Studio London, Italia Conti) and have worked widely in theatre and film.

To ensure a high staff-to-student ratio, places on the workshop will be limited.
